The Best Beauty Looks From NYFW AW13

As London Fashion Week gets under way we take a look back at the best beauty looks from the last week of shows over in New York.
We’ve been perfecting our fuchsia lip look for quite some time, so naturally we love this update for autumn winter. “Pretty in pink”, James Kaliardos for MAC created a strong, almost neon, cerise lip using the brand’s Lip Pencil in Process Magenta. Aside from a strong, groomed brow and a sweep of mascara, offset the lip by keeping the rest of the face bare of any obvious colour, flawless and semi-matte.
At Carolina Herrera, the “Just Beautiful Girls” look that Diane Kendal created for MAC was seriously pretty and coquettish, just how we’d like to look on a laid-back Sunday afternoon. Diane worked a soft subtle flush of colour onto cheeks and MAC Hot Tahiti Lipstick blended over lips.
Pared-back, fawless, fresh skin was the highlight backstage at DKNY where Charlotte Willard for Maybelline created the “simple beautiful skin” look by buffing Maybeline’s BB Cream into models’ skin and boosting with the Rose Blush for a hint of colour. Eyes were kept bare, brows brushed and lips softened and plumped with a pale pink balm.
Continuing this spring summer 2013′s swinging 60s theme, Gucci Westman for Revlon created a retro-winged eye at Rag & Bone for autumn winter, explaining “I love how the whole look is a bit retro, but still fresh.” Gucci pressed Revlon Baby Sticks For Lips & Cheeks in Pink Passion (available March) below the cheekbone, Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Socialite (available May) onto models’ mouths and created the graphic eye using Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel Liner in Black.
There was something electric about the models at Jason Wu thanks to Diane Kendal for Lancome’s purple winged eyeshadow. Using a soft iridescent purple shadow, a halo of colour encircled eyes, working its way into a wing-shaped flick. Skin was gorgeous and glossy, with a rosy placement of blush on the apples of cheeks and a hint of pink for rosebud lips.
