Jo Malone’s newest fragrance set is inspired by the free-spirited artists that made up “The Bloomsbury Set,”  including Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E. M. Forster. This group of creatives famously lived together in a country house in Sussex working, creating, and collaborating during the first half of the 20th century. They were all well-known for valuing the importance of art above all else, and many works created by members of the Bloomsbury Set went on to influence art and literature for years to come.

Jo Malone’s Bloomsbury Set encapsulates what it meant to be a member of the Bloomsbury Set through scents that represent different parts of their home and lifestyle. The collection, launching in March, is made up of five unique fragrances that complement each other beautifully.

Blue Hyacinth
The floral notes in the Blue Hyacinth fragrance are inspired by the sun-warmed garden plant, entwined with garden geraniums and a bit of woody vetiver to create a classic but lovely floral scent.

Garden Lilies
This fragrance is inspired by the scent of a lily pond at dawn, with the scent of water lilies at the front, followed by dewy sap and ylang ylang. The scent of finished with hints of musk and vanilla.

Whisky & Cedarwood
This fragrance has has a more mysterious air of fine whisky blended with roses and spicy pimento. The scent of warm cedarwood is a nod to the waxy wooden floors of the Sussex house.

Tobacco & Mandarin
Bright notes of mandarin are combined with herbal notes of sage and warmed by beeswax and sweet pipe tobacco. The citrusy and heavier notes combine in a surprising, but lovely way.

Leather & Artemisia
This fragrance combines the rich notes of woody Cypriol and leather, lightened by greener facets of anise-tinged absinthe and artemisia.

The Bloomsbury Set launches in March 2017, £45 for 30ml.
