I have a confession. The last time I got my hair cut was in December. Due to my hectic schedule, much like family reunions, getting a hair cut has become something associated with weddings, birthdays and funerals.

Last time I got my hair cut (the salon began with H, that’s all I’ll admit)I paid a ridiculous amount to see a “senior” stylist who spent ten minutes hacking away at my locks while admonishing me for waiting so long to get my hair cut. His nagging did no good anyway, because despite his advice, I know that last week’s trip to my local branch of Toni & Guy in Kingston will probably not be repeated until 2010. Anyway, I digress. For the reasons above, I decided to treat myself to a little something extra to make up for the cash I’m saving with my biannual hair cuts, opting for Toni & Guy’s moisture mask, which is basically an intensive conditioning treatment that can be applied in the salon or purchased to take away. Anyway, I opted for the former, and although the product is only left on for the same amount as time as normal conditioner, my hair was instantly softer and three days later it still feels and looks fabulously healthy.

In the past I’ve been known to fork out over £20.00 for similiar treatments, but this really infused my dry, sun-damaged hair with moisture. I’ve always thought Toni & Guy offer the best hair cuts, and now, they do my favourite conditioner, too. Between you and me, I’m hoping this will mean I can put my next hair cut off for just a little longer, but don’t tell my hairdresser that…

Toni & Guy Label.m Intensive Mask costs 10.95 from Toni and Guy salons.
