Just like the films showing this week, the Venice Film Festival’s red carpet was anything but boring. These celebs were hard to miss on the red carpet in their bold fashion statements and if they were wondering whether they’d be lost among the many stars at this year’s Venice Film Festival, they needn’t have worried.

Pretty much every color in the rainbow can be found in Chinese actress Shengyi Huang’s (Contagion) gown, and while Italian director Giulio Base’s guest chose black and white, she definitely did not play it safe, fancying a boldly-patterned mini-dress with a long train. Actress Natalie Dormer’s (W.E.) outfit combined an array of brightly-coloured patterns, and her fellow actresses Keira Knightley and Andrea Riseborough followed her lead in bold prints by Mary Katrantzou and Dolce and Gabbana, respectively.

Model/socialite Bianca Brandolini’s Giambattista Valli leopard print gown appeared classic from the neck down to the legs but becomes anything but ordinary as it transforms into a plethora of patterned feathers on the bottom.
