Helena Bonham Carter on the red carpet

Some of our favourite Brits were honoured yesterday at the Moet British Independent Film Awards.  The big winner of the night was The King’s Speech, but all stars in attendance deserved at least a fashion award because they all looked fab.

The King’s Speech won Best British Independent Film and Best Screenplay.  The film’s cast also walked away with a majority of the awards.  The film’s lead actor, Colin Firth, won Best Actor and Geoffrey Rush won Best Supporting Actor.

Best Actress winner, Carey Mulligan

Helena Bonham Carter also received Best Supporting Actress for her role as Queen Elizabeth and was even presented with the Richard Harris award for outstanding contribution by an actor to British film.  The actress rocked her usual corset-style dress in a dramatic turquoise with black puff skirt.  Our favourite part of Helena’s outfit though was her “One in a Million” clutch!

Speaking of one in a million… Carey Mulligan looked just that in an eye-catching  Prabal Gurung red dress.  She finished up her look with a Cartier ring, Roger Vivier embellished clutch and black peep-toe heels.  Carey finished up her night by taking home the award for Best Actress for her role in Never Let Me Go.

Chronicles of Narnia star Georgie Henley

Also in attendance was Chronicles of Narnia star Georgie Henley who wore a Lanvin for H&M dress.  Maybe in a few years you’ll be up on stage receiving an award girl!
