Much Music Video Awards 2012

The 2012 Much Music Video Awards kicked off last night in Canada and featured plenty of appearances from Hollywood’s finest. We’ve got all of the celebrity fashion direct from the MMVA red carpet on Toronto’s Queen Street West.

Selena Gomez, Carly Rae Jepson and Nelly Furtado dazzled on the red carpet.

Selena Gomez showed up in a gold mini dress showing off her killer legs. While this dress leaves much to the imagination, we think it was a great way to make an entrance!

Carly Rae Jepson is the break out star of the year and certainly made a statement on the red carpet in a sexy black dress with not one but two slits! We think the best part of her Angelina Jolie-esque ensemble was her necklace, which added a nice pop of colour.

Nelly Furtado looked summery in a white-hot mini dress with embellished waist, ruffles and pretty detailing. While we love the look, we are a bit thrown off by the orange cuff.

These celebrities missed the fashion mark in our book with their odd outfits.

We can’t seem to figure out if Katy Perry is trying to be a witch or a gladiator in this black tulle ensemble. While we do like the gold detailing, the sheer black tulle needs to go.

Singer Keshia Chante certainly surprised us in this low cut dress. While we think it is a bit too revealing and short, we do adore the beautiful snakeskin clutch!

Kressha Turner made a rather interesting appearance in a spiked dominatrix inspired dress. Her entourage was equally as intimidating in their black masks kilts. We cannot seem to find any redeeming qualities to this downright awful look.

“Toes” singer Lights looked as though she rolled out of bed in this lingerie inspired slip dress. Although the dress is pretty, we feel it is better suited for the bedroom!

Perez Hilton never ceases to surprise us. While we do adore his bow tie, we are amused and confused by his out of control Afro.

What were your favorite red carpet hits and misses? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
