James Bond is back for his 24th film and this one has been revealed by the Director Sam Mendes, as ‘Spectre’. This is definitely some of the best news we’ve heard this month and here are all the things you need to know about the announcement made this morning at Pinewood Studios.
Firstly, Daniel Craig is back as James Bond which we are very happy about . This time his two female Bond Girl co-stars are Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux. Other actors brand new to the franchise are Oscar award winning actor Christoph Waltz, Sherlocks’ Andrew Scott and WWE and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Batista. Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear.
It has been rumoured that Waltz will be playing Bond’s old nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld which explains the title as Spectre = Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion as this was the name of an international crime syndicate, whose ‘Number One’ was Blofeld (Walts). But as we said this is only a rumour.
Another cast member revealed was of course the Bond car that will be used in the film, which was (drum roll please) an Aston Martin DB10.
The locations in the film are London, Mexico City, Rome, Austria and Morocco. We’ve not heard yet who will sing the theme tune, however we have heard a rumour that Sam Smith may have been asked.
The new film will be out November 2015.
