Collins English Dictionary have added a total of 86 new words and phrases to its online version following a public ‘wordsearch’.

Totes Amazeballs. Available at Mollieandfred.co.uk

Having been vetted using the publisher’s normal, and rigorous, review process including the frequency of use, number of sources and staying power of the words and terms, here are some of the newest inclusions that we both love and are somewhat mystified by!

Amazeballs, An explanation of praise.

Mummy Porn. A new term for erotic fiction, typically riding on the back of E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey success.

Frenemy. A person who is both a friend and an enemy.

Floordrobe. Used to describe the contents of a wardrobe strewn across the floor.

Tiger Mother. A strick and demanding mum who pushes her children to the highest levels of achievement.

Bridezilla. A woman whose behaviour in planning details of her wedding is regarded as intolerable.

Tweetup. A meeting at which people who communicate with each other via the social networking site Twitter meet face to face.

Shabby Chic. A style of interior design that uses worn or distressed furnishings to achieve a romantic, distressed effect.

Bashtag. A hashtag that is used for critical and abusive comments.

Geekism. A preoccupation with subjects that are generally considered as unfashionable or boring.

Hangry. Irritable as a result of feeling hungry.

Jog On. Go away.

Totes.  Totally; completely; entirely.

The new words and phrases will now be considered,  for the next print edition of the Collins English Dictionary.

Whilst we’re totes guilty (sic!) of using some of these, we’re wondering whether new media slang should really be considered for entry into the English Dictionary? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so tweet us on @Beautyanthedirt
