The award season is in full swing here in LA, and during the Grammy’s I was hanging out at the GRAMMY Style Studio® which is the Recording Academy®’s Official Styling Suite. It’s THE place where presenters, performers and nominees select one-of-a-kind pieces to  wear from leading brands and designers. This year my three favourites  were  John Varvatos, Moods of Norway and new on the scene Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran.

Anyways, while there I ran into beauty stunners India Arie and Jojo. And for Mimi, I grabbed a few minutes with R&B recording artist Steph Jones who’s music is blowing up, and we’re set to see him hit the big screen later this year.

What’s your one grooming secret? Aveeno pads are like heaven to your face.

What’s a BEAUTY MUST for women? Believe in yourself and learn to love yourself! Confidence starts from within… If you can’t love yourself then it’s impossible to love others. THAT IS TRUE BEAUTY.

What’s a GROOMING MUST for men? Keep your hair and nails clean.

What’s a Beauty NO NO for women? Don’t wear colours that clash with your skin tone.

What’s a GROOMING NO NO for men? Never go out feeling uncomfortable because that’s the vibe you’ll give off.

How do you stay in shape? I hike, I run, I workout, and I mentally tell myself that I am the best.

Favourite thing to do in LA? Go hiking up Runyon Canyon with my exercise group G.U.M.B.O (get up and move ya behind operation)

Favourite place to chill in LA? Starbucks while I people watch and write songs.

Who’s your best friend? Can I have two? Rob Nelson and Jordin Sparks.

What would you change in the World if you could? I would love to make the cost of bullets just as expensive as cars so that way people will think long and hard before they use them.

Biggest life achievement to date? Being an artist, I can motivate so many others that lack the voice to speak for themselves and believe in themselves.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? The first thing I do when I wake up is open my eyes and take a deep breath. Then I either do push ups or shadow box to get my blood flowing.

What’s on your iPod? I keep my iPod on shuffle because I’m intrigued by mystery, but I have a wide variety of music ranging from The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Coldplay, Harry Belafonte, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder etc… I just love good music

Any last words? To everyone reading this. Anything you do in life make sure that you do it from your heart and soul, your soul never lies.
