BAFTA have issued their final list of nominations ahead of the BAFTA Awards 2014. They follow suit with the Golden Globes nominations in most categories, with the likes of Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle making frequent appearances within the shortlists. The Best Actress category reads like a who’s who of contemporary female Hollywood greats, Brits Judi Dench and Emma Thompson standing alongside Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock, whilst the lesser known Bruce Dern is flanked by awards veterans Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and 12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor.
