The Trotters are back
One of the nation’s favourite TV families are back! BBC Comedy Production and Shazam Productions are going to bring back the Trotters, ah lovely jubbly, we can’t wait. The companies have been commissioned by BBC One to make a new 90-minute comedy drama .
It’s 1960 and Peckham’s answer to Brigitte Bardot, Joan Trotter, is not-so-happily ensconced with the work-shy, Reg Trotter and her teenage son, Derek. Called Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Chips, there will be cameos from teenage versions of Boycie, Trigger and Denzil. Shooting is due to start in August, but it won’t screen until next year.
