Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs

You’ve just worked off the Roses from Christmas, and here comes another excuse to overindulge in chocolate. Of course we’re talking about Easter.  Ever since we popped our first Cream Egg we have been looking forward to our next holiday. Before we get carried away, let’s not forget what Easter is all about. We’re looking forward to spending some time with our loved ones, but if like us the thought of cooking some vast Easter feast brings you out in a cold sweat, why not celebrate in style?

The Landau

The Landau

We have had a little snoop around and have sniffed out the best Easter deals in London. First up on our list is the The Landau restaurant at The Langham Hotel. The deal is for every diner who attends either the Easter breakfast (available 11-13th April) or the  Easter Sunday or Monday grand celebratory lunch or afternoon tea. Every guest will receive a special handmade egg from executive chef Andrew Turner. We warn you though, don’t just eat this egg with wild abandonment, for inside lies a less edible treat.  Certain lucky eggs contain prize vouchers, how do you fancy dinner at The Landau for two? Or 3 nights at the Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena, California. Talk about a golden egg.

Rib Room

Rib Room

If you’re in the mood for a spot of indulgence we are fans of the Rib Room at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower. They are offering a set Easter Sunday Lunch menu for £47 per head. Choose from a selection of delectable dishes such as Double Baked Stilton Pudding with a Salad of Poached Pears, Walnuts and Watercress or Roast Norfolk Turkey with Apricot and Chestnut Stuffing. Our personal favorite has to be Sticky Toffee Banana Pudding, oh we’re salivating just at the thought. If you still are able to find a spot of space in your ever expanding tummy, the Rib Room will also be giving each diner a chocolate egg. What’s more the child friendly Rib Room has organized an Easter Egg Hunt in nearby Cadogan Place Gardens. We will try to refrain from joining in, when chocolate is involved we tend to get a little crazed.

Purple Dragon Chocolate Bar

Finally Rococo have a quick Easter treat that could really pay off. They have released a special limited edition Purple Dragon Chocolate Bar. While most are just solid chocolate (we’re not complaining) some contain special tickets, Willy Wonka eat your heart out. One lucky person will win a year’s bespoke members’ package at the Purple Dragon. Other prizes include the ‘A Pamper and Play day where the lovely people at Purple Dragon will take your children off your hands while you relax with a pedicure.

Happy Eater…whoops sorry we mean Happy Easter everyone.
