David Bailey is highly regarded as one of the best British photographers so it is no wonder that his son’s are following is his very big footsteps.
Sascha Bailey has curated a photography exhibition named Human Relations, which features work by his brother Fenton Bailey and friend Mairi-Luise Tabbakh.
Much of the “Human Relations” show is focuses around Fenton’s 2 Muses, both of whom were involved with relationships with him at the time of the photographs. The images show the intensity of his relationships at the height of their sensuality and intensity.
The more erotic images in the collection are the work of Mairi, Fenton says it all in his comment on Mairi’s work, “it’s nice for a woman to be creating that sort of female portrait and it not being the other way round. There’s so much said about how my dad didn’t like women and this might do something to dispel that. These pictures are sexy, not risky, and that’s how it should be.”
Human Relations starts on Monday 29th April 2013 and will run for the month of May at Imitate Modern, 27A Devonshire St Marylebone, London W1G 6PN
