Glastonbury Festival
June 24th-28th—Pilton and Somerset, England

As one of the largest and most recognized music festivals in the world, this open air venue brings together music lovers from around the globe.  So far Fleetwood Mac, Florence and The Machine, Lily Allen, Crosby Stills and Nash, and The Doves have confirmed slots at the festival while Bruce Springsteen, Blur, and Neil Young are set to be the headline acts.  Here’s hoping the weather is on our side this year.

T In the Park 2009
July 10-July 12—Balado, Scotland

Scotland’s best known—and most loved–music festival is back in Balado this summer! 180 artists perform over more than 11 stages nonstop for 12 hours. Bands include The Killers, Blur, Snow Patrol, Katy Perry, Lily Allen, and Jason Mraz. The campsite for the venue opens on Thursday July 9th. Get there early to set up; trust us, with over 3000 people already attending, you’ll need all the space you can get.

Oxegen Music Festival

Oxegen Music Festival
July 10th-12th—Kildcare County, Ireland

Newer to the scene is this green-oriented festival has hosted some of the world’s greatest acts over the past couple of years.  Concert goers pitch their tents and camp out for three days of rock ‘n roll.  This year’s event is welcoming such big acts as Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Keane, Katy Perry, and Jason Mraz.  The delicious (and organic!) cuisine sold at the campsite arena is an added perk.

The Glade Music Festival 2009
July 16-July 19th—Winchester, England

By now, Glade is recognized as the leading electronic dance festival in the UK, but it’s no ordinary rave…it’s new venue in Winchester combines green fields with twice the space that the Wasing Estate in Berkshire had. The lineup includes Juan Atkinds, Adam Beyer, Freeland, Dave Clarke, Nitin Sawhney, and plenty of others. Whether it’s techno, psychedelic, dubstep, or just plain rave, the Glade Festival has it all.
