Girls Season 3

Girls Season 3

Today at 10am ET (that’s 3pm for us in the UK) HBO is set to upload the first two episodes of Girls Season 3 on to their Youtube channel. The series only premiered last night in the US and the episodes will be available for free less that 12 hours later.

This just goes to show the need for networks to please their online following and reach a wider audience. Sabrina Caluori, HBO’s vice-president of social media and marketing stated that ”For us, this is an increasingly challenging demographic to reach with traditional means,”

With Micro video becoming more and more mainstream HBO have even launch a Snapchat account specifically for Girls (girlsHBO) with their first post depicting a gun-toting panda beside a gift box, an inside joke for Girls fans about a strange text message from Girls‘ second season. They even used Snapchat at the show’s red-carpet season premiere this week and will be posting teasers throughout the season.

If you’re not one for Snapchat, don’t worry, they are creating gifs of the Snapchats and putting them out over their other platforms, so you won’t miss out on any sneak peeks from the season.

We for one will be tuning in to Girls Season 3 and checking them out on Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and wherever else we can get our hand on some exclusive content.

Make sure you check out the HBO Youtube channel later today so you don’t miss out.
