Friends the Movie

For those of you that have visited Central Perk on Carnaby Street to reminisce about your favorite Friends moment, I’m guessing a lot of you have left wishing the gang would reunite for one last episode. Well, we hear Friends the movie is on the cards. It’s thought the success of the Sex and the City film has spurred the cast into agreeing to a film of the small-screen show.

‘The cast haven’t set the world alight since the show finished,’ a source tells the News of the World. James Michael Tyler, who plays Gunther – the owner of the Central Perk coffee shop – confirmed a film was in the pipeline. ‘Friends: The Movie is definitely on. I still keep in touch with a lot of the cast and they say they are really keen,’ he reveals.

The film will be the first time Jennifer Aniston, 40, Courteney Cox, 45, Lisa Kudrow, 46, Matt LeBlanc, 42, David Schwimmer, 42 and Matthew Perry, 40, have been back together since the show finished in 2004.

The source says, ‘The show did lose a lot of its shine in the last few seasons, but with all the actors in their 40s, it would be a real interest to see how their characters have developed.’
The new film is due to be released in the summer of 2011. We can’t wait!
