Gary outside the jet

Gary outside the jet

It looks like the Take That reunion has been very lucrative indeed for Gary Barlow. He spent a whopping  £50,000 flying his fellow celebrities home from the Comic Relief  mountain climb. He hired a private jet to fly the famous trekkers back to the UK following their sponsored climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, in Africa. A source said: “Everyone was shattered after the climb and not looking forward to the long flight. So Gary decided to surprise them. A chartered jet back from Africa doesn’t come cheap but Gary was happy to pay the money.” The 38-year-old singer surprised the stars – which included Girls Aloud stars Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, singer Alesha Dixon, presenter Fearne Cotton and actress Denise Van Outen – to reward them for raising £1.5 million for climbing the 19,000ft African mountain. Speaking of their struggle, Boyzone singer Ronan Keating said: “Even though it was 10 days it felt like a long time when you’re slogging up a mountain every day.” The celebrities were thrilled to have been surprised by Gary and were relieved to have been treated to the luxurious journey home. That’s very nice of you Gary but don’t you think the £50,000 would have been better spent helping those in need? Perhaps donating the money to Comic Relief would have been far more beneficial?

Victoria and David

Victoria and David

Any hopes of seeing another mini Beckham running around anytime soon are now dashed as Victoria Beckham has reportedly told husband David she won’t have another  baby while he is living in Italy. Although David is keen to have a fourth child, Victoria has reportedly told him it is not feasible while he is playing soccer for AC Milan and she and their three sons – Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, six, and Cruz, four – are living in the US, where David was playing for Los Angeles Galaxy. A source said: “The baby issue is a bit of a sore point. In Victoria’s eyes  it’s not the right time. David’s future with Los Angeles Galaxy is so uncertain that planning for another child is, in Victoria’s eyes, premature. First, they need to sort out where they are going to be living. Her refusal has upset David as he feels his life is going in the right direction. He’s loving playing soccer again and what would complete  everything for him would be a fourth child.”  Although we have to ask ourselves, is the world really ready for a baby Posh? Note to Karl Lagerfeld it is time to start working on your baby couture line.
