Barack Obama’s historical inauguration looks set to be the celebrity event of the year, bizarrely enough. Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder and Garth Brooks have joined a diverse lineup of musicians who will perform at Obama’s January 18th welcome concert on the National Mall. Also set to appear are Bono, Josh Groban, Mary J. Blige, will.i.am, John Mellencamp and Shakira. While Queen Latifah, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Martin Luther King III will read historic passages. Sting and Elvis Costello are also set to headline another all-star concert, this one for charity and marking Obama’s January 20th inauguration. That event will be held at Washington’s Harman Center of the Arts. What can we say, everyone wants a piece of Obama! Want to be there yourself? Well it will set you back $40,000, so you’d better get saving now.

It will be a sad month in April ladies, when Johnny Depp is finally and officially off the market. We’ve heard that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis will marry in April. The couple – who have been together for 10 years and have two children, Lily-Rose, nine, and six-year-old Jack, together – are planning to tie the knot in a chapel on the grounds of their $1.25 million French estate. A source said: “They’re a very private couple. It’s no surprise they’d want to celebrate at their home.” The pair are keen to keep the ceremony as intimate as possible, and will only invite 50 of their closest friends and family. Director Tim Burton is expected to act as best man, while Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards is also due to attend. An insider said: “Keith and Johnny are good pals. Johnny’s portrayal of Jack Sparrow in ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ was partly inspired by the old rocker, and Keith had a cameo in the second sequel.”
