Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, has married her basketball player boyfriend, Kris Humphries, in a huge ceremony in Montecito, California, on Saturday evening (20.08.11).
The union was witnessed by 440 family and friends and they all saw Kim walk down the aisle with her stepfather Bruce Jenner, wearing an ivory Vera Wang gown.
The wedding ceremony reportedly lasted half an hour and saw Kim and Kris – dressed in an Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo with a white jacket and tie – exchange wedding rings made by Lorraine Schwartz, the same designer behind Kim’s engagement ring.
During the traditional Christian service, officiated by pastor Joel Johnson, tributes were paid to Kris’ late grandmother and grandfather, as well as to Kim’s late father, lawyer Robert Kardashian.
Kim told the crowd: “I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad.”
The 30-year-old bride’s sisters Khloe and Kourtney were maids of honour, and Kourtney’s son Mason acted as ring bearer. Her mother, Kris Jenner, had earlier in the day helped Kim prepare for the wedding and also wore a white Vera Wang dress to the ceremony.
The wedding dress designer was there herself, including a whole host of other celebrity guests… like we would expect anything less! Check out this guest list:
Demi Lovato, Babyface, Mario Lopez, Mark Ballas, Ciara, Carmelo Anthony, Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, Alan Thicke, Cheryl Burke, Mel B, Maria Menounos, Sugar Ray Leonard, Serena Williams, Kathie Lee Gifford, Brittny Gastineau, Greta Van Susteren, Jillian Barberie, Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, and Dina, Ali and Lindsay Lohan.
After the ceremony the party moved to a different tent on the grounds of the private estate and both the bride and groom changed into different outfits.
Singer Robin Thicke introduced the couple as “Mr. and Mrs. Humphries,” before leading them into the first dance, with a rendition of his track ‘Angels’, which segued into Al Green’s soul classic ‘Let’s’ Stay Together’.
Anyone else kinda wish they were there?? Oh well, we’ll just have to hold out for the official weeding photographs when they’re released soon…
