Several months after working together on the set of the Notebook, Rachel and Ryan started dating. Their relationship lasted for nearly three years before they officially split in the fall of 2007. And although they were seen together in 2008 the pair insists that both remain single. Her role in the comedy Wedding Crashers in 2005 earned her a Teen Choice Award for Choice Female role. A moving performance in the thriller Red Eye opposite Cillian Murphy showcased her many acting talents. In August 2009, she starred in the hit The Time Traveler’s Wife as the lover of Eric Bana’s time traveling character. On the romantic end of things, Rachel has found company with blue eyed boy Josh Lucas. Since January, the two have been seen sharing smooches and exchanging adoring glances. Not only does she have a man but she has a booming career. She recently finished filming the remake of Sherlock Holmes opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. She stars as Irene Adler, the only woman to maintain a tempestuous relationship with the daring detective. Irene keeps Holmes on his toes, forcing him to sharpen his legendary intellect as well as his practically lethal fighting skills.  The film opens Boxing Day 2009.

Next year, look out for McAdams in Morning Glory–costarring Harrison Ford, Patrick Wilson, and Diane Keaton–about a television producer struggling to revive a morning programme full of diva anchors.

With a collection of celebrated projects under her belt and a promising career ahead, this Canadian beauty has definitely made her mark on the acting scene.
