Rihanna may have kept tight lipped about exactly what went on between her and Chris Brown but she sings openly about being assaulted by Chris Brown on her new album. The singer wrote ‘Cold Case Love’ about how she was attacked by then-boyfriend Chris Brown not long after the incident in February.

She said: “It was one of the first songs I did for the album and it is one of the most emotional.”  Rihanna, 21, has also revealed she was desperate to get back into the recording studio after the assault, so she could concentrate on her career rather than what had happened to her.

The pop beauty explained: “When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad. I couldn’t go anywhere. It was, like, ‘Look at the poor victim!’ So I called my label and said, ‘I’m ready.’ ”

Rihanna also recorded some of the LP, entitled ‘Rated R’, in London and admits she loves the UK capital. She said: “We made a lot of the album in London. We took two big trips there and spent some time just figuring out the record. London is one of my favourite cities, it’s where I get most of my creative energy.”
