What’s on the menu for a regular day for you?
: plain yogurt with raw rolled oats, chopped apple, honey and nuts

Lunch: large green salad with avocado, black beans, tomatoes, salsa and whole corn chips

Dinner: grilled tofu, brown rice with nuts and herbs, olive oil sautéed veg such as carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, kale

Snacks: nut butter and celery (favourite!), veggies and yogurt dip

And when you just have to have something a bit naughty, what’s it to be?
I love gourmet thin crust pizza & wine with my husband and red velvet cupcakes. I have them when I want to but just not large portions.

What can we eat as a healthy snack when we crave choc & cake at 4pm?
Most of us are truly hungry at 4pm since it has been three hours or more since lunch. Hunger tends to cause cravings so the best thing to do is to eat a healthy and filling snack like nut butter and celery. Zero calorie Dessert flavoured teas are also good such as English toffee, vanilla hazelnut or chocolate raspberry. If only a chocolate will do – 1 ounce of dark chocolate once in awhile is great.

Are there any tips for snacks we can carry around when we have a hectic day or are travelling and don’t want plane/train food?
Apples and Almonds are fabulous on-the-go natural and filling foods. Plus plenty of water to keep up energy and concentration .

What kind of beauty regime do you follow that compliments your healthy eating?
I like to try new things from the healthfood store – I look for 4 types of products: basic cleaning, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing.

What ranges do you like?
I am not brand loyal. My skin likes to try new things. But I am a sucker for things with pineapple extract since that is a good natural enzyme to help peel away dead skin cells and reveal the younger and plumper ones! I also love a thick night moisturizing cream because even though water and healthy fats can keep skin moisturized from within…having a good night moisturizer helps skin from looking too dry and old.

Where do you like to shop for them, do you buy any online?
Healthfood store beauty department.

What’s in your own make-up bag?
Mineral make-up with SPF, pink mineral blush, subtle hot pink lipgloss, eyelash curler, mascara, and a brow pencil. I think groomed brows can make or break a look.

Do you like mineral make-up?
Yes – good for the skin and really is the best for looking natural in person and on-camera.

What’s on your plate when you dine at tibits?
Oh my gosh – everything! I love their muesli in the morning and then their falafel, samosas, quinoa salad, carrot & ginger quiche, and tofu with tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar are delicious (their tofu is one of the best I’ve ever had.) Oh and can’t forget their Fitness juice drink!

What’s next for you?
I’d love to do a television show! I don’t have the exact idea yet, but some type of healthy living show that is trendy, fresh, and fun to watch.
