Mimi’s Book Club: Life with My Sister Madonna

Mimi ON Dec 03, 2008 AT 12:18 pm

Another book I recently read was the tell-all tale by Madonna’s brother Christopher Ciccone, “Life with my Sister Madonna.”  But before I get started let me preface that I am by no means a die hard Madonna fan, but I wanted a little gossip in my life and Chris is like an old lady at brunch, after a few too many mimosas…he certainly spills the dirt!

Not only did Chris grow up with the pop princess, he also worked as her backup dancer at the peak of her stardom.  So when it comes to Madonna he has seen the good, the bad and the ugly, and I’d say mostly the ugly!

Christopher shares some humorous anecdotes on her celebrity relationship, including some juicy details on Madonna’s chaotic marriage to Sean Penn. He also shares stories about his celebrity friendships with Gwyneth Paltrow, and Demi Moore. In one section he talks about going to a party with Demi, post baby and goes on to describe how she got a little wild and sprayed her breast milk on some party goers… Hmm too much information methinks!

The book is a little melodramatic in sections but overall it’s a quick read especially if you skip over the part where Chris talks about himself and how he overcame HIS obstacles. Like we really care! The ending is a little ominous too considering he talks about Guy Ritchie and Madonna’s marriage seeming to be a success. Too bad he wasn’t in her life during the alleged A-Rod affair.

A great stocking filler.

  1. Along with everything that aeapprs to be developing within this specific area, your opinions tend to be rather stimulating. Nonetheless, I am sorry, because I can not give credence to your entire suggestion, all be it exhilarating none the less. It aeapprs to us that your remarks are not completely justified and in fact you are your self not really entirely certain of your point. In any case I did appreciate looking at it.
