Law Abiding Citizen

Law Abiding Citizen

The Christmas lights are twinkling, but if you want to see the silver screen lit up this weekend, we’ve got the line up for you! You won’t be disappointed, whether you fancy a cosy night in or a trip to the cinema.

Law Abiding Citizen
As if we need an excuse to check out a Gerard Butler flick, Law Abiding Citizen offers a chance to see the darker side of the new Brit on the block. Butler stars as a man wronged by the system, denied justice when one of the murderers of his family walks out of jail. A grim series of events unfolds, caught up with a prosecutor played by Jamie Foxx in an unusually understated role for him. This is action packed and ok it is far fetched, but no vampires are in sight and your man will like it too. It kept me on the edge of my seat, out this Friday, November 27.

The Proposal

The Proposal

The Proposal DVD
Didn’t get a good view of Ryan Reynolds’ body the first time you watched The Proposal, well now you can press pause. Relive the whole story from the comfort of the couch. Sandra Bullock stars as a harsh hot-shot New York boss in danger of being deported back to Canada. In a desperate attempt to maintain her job, she coerces her beautiful and hapless assistant (Reynolds) to marry her. Chaos ensues as the two try to convince everyone—and maybe even themselves—that their affections are true. Grab this romantic comedy for some quality couch time. The Proposal is released on Blu-ray and DVD from the 30th November.

Coco before Chanel DVD
Bless the entertainment world for biopics! If you’ve ever wondered what led Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel to French fashion stardom, Coco before Chanel is the film for you. Audrey Tautou of Amelie and The DaVinci Code stars as Coco, the young girl who left the orphanage at a young age to find work. Her efforts as a seamstress, connections through her work, and an eventual romance with an English businessman give Coco the opportunities she needs to get her foot in the door. Life throws out its fair share of complications, though. The DVD and Blu Ray editions are now available in the UK. Click here to read our exclusive interview with Alessandro Nivola.
