Fighting

This weekend we have a film feast that is sure to please all. Head to the cinema for all out action with the release of Fighting, (check out Channing Tatum’s body, it’s the star of the show). Or join Robert Langdon on another one of his journeys in the suspense filled Angels and Demons. Don’t feel like going out? Why not bring the cinema to your front room? There are three award winning DVD’s available to rent this weekend.

Fighting
After his success at the Sundance Festival with A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, Dito Montiel  is back with Fighting. Channing Tatum stars as Shawn MacArthur, a small town boy, who comes to New York looking to make his fortune. However he soon gets swept up in the illegal fighting scene. He teams up with Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard), who offers him the chance to earn £5000 on New York’s bare-knuckle fighting circuit. With nothing to lose he accepts, but is he getting in over his head? Watch it to find out.

Angels and Demons
Tom Hanks is back as Robert Langdon, in Ron Howard’s follow up film, Angels and Demons. Those of you who have read Dan Brown’s book will know what to expect. For those who haven’t, it’s much the same as the Da Vinci Code, in that Langdon is transported all around Italy in an attempt to decipher a code, that will lead him to the illusive Illuminati. For fans of the book and the Da Vinci Code, it’s a must see.

As we mentioned there are three award winning films out to rent this week. Not available to buy for a couple of weeks, get in there early and head down to your local Blockbuster this weekend. Pick from Milk, the biopic of Gay Rights Activist Harvey Milk starring award winning Sean Penn. Or what about The Reader? Kate Winslet won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance as a former Nazi prison guard. Finally watch Mickey Rourke‘s incredible comeback in The Wrestler.
