Most Influential

Jon Stewart, #1

It wasn’t that long ago that Forbes gave us the Most Powerful Woman, and now AskMen has taken its turn and released a list of the Most Influential Men.  The list makes it pretty evident that the men over at the website are all techies, fittingly, but we do agree with most of the guys on the list.  Here’s a look at the top ten:

1. Jon Stewart – He’s known for hosting the faux-news programme The Daily Show, is planning a Rally to Restore Sanity later this month which President Barack Obama (who was recently on the show) fully supports.

2. Bill Gates – We know him as the richest man in the world, but he also devotes most of his time and money into charity.  He runs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and recently formed The Giving Pledge.

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg, #3

3. Mark Zuckerberg – He’s the creator of Facebook and now the 31st richest person on Forbes’s 400 List.  Not to mention the super successful movie The Social Network was based on his college life.

4. Steve Jobs – He’s the cofounder and CEO of Apple which launched the iPhone4 earlier this year.

5. Kanye West – After 2009’s VMA fiasco he took to apologizing on Twitter, performed on SNL, created a short film for his song Runaway and has an album out next month.

6. Drew Brees – He led his New Orleans American football team to win the Super Bowl in 2010, continues to rebuild the city after Katrina.  An athlete and philanthropist?  We like.

7. James Franco – Mr. Franco has enrolled in four graduate programmes, written a book of short stories, made a series of experimental short films and has the biopics 127 Hours and Howl coming out soon.

8. Elon Musk – He was named 2010’s Automotive Executive of the Year for helping to redesign the electrical car and owns the space transportation business SpaceX.

9. Jose Mourinho – He’s the super successful football coach who brings champion titles to every team he coaches.  He’s currently at Real Madrid.

10. Graydon Carter the Vanity Fair editor keeps bringing revenue to the magazine even when all others are seeing a decline.
