When it comes to winning medals, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte succeed with apparent ease. The real challenge seems to be controlling their bladders in the water?! That’s right, you heard and the secret’s out – just like the toddlers on holiday, these swimming studs are guilty of peeing in the Olympic pool!
When confronted about the issue in a recent interview, Lochte shamelessly answered: “Of course. I think there’s something about getting into chlorine water that you just automatically go. I didn’t during the races, but I sure did in warm-up.”
Phelps backed his U.S. teammate, saying: “I think everybody pees in the pool. It’s kind of a normal thing to do for swimmers. When we’re in the water for two hours, we don’t really get out to pee. The chlorine kills it so it’s not bad.”
Chlorine or not, we wouldn’t consent to a leisurely dip in the Olympic pool anytime soon!
