Last Chance Harvey

Last Chance Harvey

The weekend’s weather doesn’t hold much promise, so we suggest you make it a movie marathon. If you fancy a trip to the cinema, highlights include the heart warming ‘Last Chance Harvey’ and arty thriller ‘Anything For Her’.

For a night in front of the box, we suggest the award winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, or check out Mickey Rourke’s superb comeback performance in’ The Wrestler’.

Last Chance Harvey
In London for his daughter’s wedding, workaholic Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) crosses paths with single Kate Walker (Emma Thompson). When Harvey tries to strike up a conversation with Kate, she rebuffs him. But these two keep crossing paths and begin to find a common ground, before she knows it, she is off to his daughter’s wedding with him. Unsurprisingly enough, it’s not always plain sailing and the pair has many ups and downs –but will they end up together? Watch to find out. It’s cute.

Anything For Her
If you fancy something a little more deep and intense, pick Anything For Her, starring Diane Kruger and Vincent Lindon. Lise and Julien are happily married with their son Oscar. Their perfect world is shattered when Lise is suddenly arrested for murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Convinced she is innocent and with no hope of freeing her, Julien decides to help her escape.
