The Secret Garden Party

The Secret Garden Party

If you are still high from Glasto and need a festival fever fix, recharge your batteries and mind at The Secret Garden Party. This lesser known festival is billed as ‘your party’, a place where you can let imagination, freedom and curiosity run riot. Like no festival you have ever seen before, a river splits the venue down the middle and it’s full of lush magical gardens, have I got your attention yet? The Secret Garden Party even boasts ‘boutique camping’, an area with a bell boy and ‘all day’ butler service, fully functioning clean showers and a luxe living space – fancy eh?

Where would a festival be without the music? Headliners include Jarvis Cocker and Rodrigo y Gabriela, while a selection of acoustic sets will take place at the Sound of Eden area. If the music gets too much, there will be poetry recitals, discussion sessions or you could get involved at the Come and Play area – fancy becoming a member of a circus act? All you green goddesses are sure to approve of the morning yoga sessions and  solar powered cafes and stages –how new age. If you’re all partied out, recharge with pampering and champagne cocktails at The Boudior or treat yourself to a massage at the Sanctuary. Just because it’s a festival, that’s no excuse for men to look sloppy and grow a full on beard. You’ll find our guys at the Gentlemen’s Club where they offer daily Turkish shaves.  Taking place this weekend in Cambridgeshire, this is a differnent place to wear your Hunters, sounds pretty good.

Ben and Jerry’s Sundae Festival

Ben and Jerry’s Sundae Festival

If that doesn’t float your boat the Ben and Jerry’s Sundae Festival is also taking place this weekend at Clapham Common. This year Super Furry Animals are headlining along with The Human League, talk about old school. However by far the star attraction for us is the fact that you can freely scoff as much Ben and J’s that you can manage…hmm Cookie Dough here we come. They’ll also be Helter Skelter slides (perhaps best to go there before hitting the ice cream), a Petting Zoo, that’s animals to you, filthy..Biscuit Decorating and Mosaic Making.

The Secret Garden Party £137 for the weekend

Ben and Jerry’s Sundae Festival £12 a day.
