Felicity Jones is the 27-year-old actress and star of the new movie, ‘Like Crazy,’ which is set to premiere at this month’s London Film Festival. She’s already won several awards for her role in the film, receiving the Special Jury Prize for Best Actress at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and the New Hollywood Award, which will be given to the star at this month’s Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony.

Best known for her role as Ethel Hallow, the school bully in the 1998 television series, ‘The Worst Witch,’ Felicity Jones is a Birmingham-native who got her start in the movie business at just 11-years-old. However, soon after she entered the business, she exited, citing homesickness as the reason for her quitting. Six years later, at the age of 17, Jones returned to reprise her role as Ethel Hallow in the 2001 series, ‘Weirdsister College,’ and since then has appeared in small roles in films like ‘Cemetery Junction,’ starring Ricky Gervais, and ‘Chéri,’ starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Rupert Friend.

Jones can be seen starring in films such as ‘Chalet Girl,’ where she played opposite Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, and ‘Northanger Abbey,’ an ITV adaptation of one of Jane Austen’s most famous novels. However, she’s getting the most buzz for her role as Anna in Drake Doremus’s ‘Like Crazy’ (2011). She stars alongside the adorable Anton Yelchin (Star Trek), and plays a British student who studies abroad in America and falls in love with Yelchin’s character, an American student named Jacob. When her student visa expires and Anna is forced to leave America and the love of her life behind, the couple experiences the challenges of having a long distance relationship, and the heartbreak that comes with holding on to a relationship that’s difficult to make work.

The film’s dialogue was completely improvised, and the young actress even did her own hair and makeup for the role. This must not have been very difficult considering that the star is quickly becoming one of the most fashionable actresses in the business. She appears in this month’s British Vogue and in the most recent issue of InStyle, and is also the newest face of Burberry Prorsum’s Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign. Burberry designer, Christopher Bailey, felt that Jones was the perfect fit for his new 1960’s-inspired collection, and she looks fab in the new ads.

With all this in the pipeline for this lovely rising star, it’s safe to say that Felicity Jones is here to stay.
