It’s the second week of the Sundance Film Festival of 2013 and the good times are rollin’ in Utah. The ten day event is going strong, attracting independent film directors like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Yes, he’s made his directing debut with his film, Don John’s Addiction! Didn’t he look good doing it? You can catch him presenting the winners of several categories at the Festival’s Awards Ceremony, which is Saturday.

Other famous faces that can be seen on screen over the week are Amanda Seyfried, Daniel Radcliffe, Rooney Mara, and Elizabeth Olsen. Oh my!

Before the event even began there was exciting news: women and men have equal representation as filmmakers in the competition. It will be interesting to see how the results reflect this new trend when the festival comes to a close Jan. 27th.

So far a few of the films receiving the most hype are:

Ain’t Them Bodies Saints - Criminal Casey Affleck switches between the role of jailbird and breadwinner with his onscreen wife, Rooney Mara, standing by his side through it all.

Breathe In – This is a more serious film focusing on the relationship between a professor (Guy Pearce) and his pupil (Felicity Jones). It’s said to be about more than the typical student-teacher affair.

The Lifeguard – Kristen Bell goes from a journalistic life of digging for hard-hitting stories to dipping in a pool, free of stress. After returning to her East Coast hometown she finds comedy and tragedy in the perfection of comfortability. Also, her baby bump is featured!

Sundance London returns to the city April 25 through the 28th.
