Sundance London 2012

From 26 to 29 April, the UK will have the chance to see a selection of the best films from the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Making its way to Britain for the first time, Sundance London will feature fourteen full-length films, eight short films and musical acts Placebo, Tricky, and Rufus and Martha Wainright at the O2 arena.

Highlights include the films 2 Days in New York, which stars Julie Delpy and Chris Rock, Queen of Versailles, in which a family building the largest house in America must rethink its grandeur upon economic crisis, and Safety Not Guaranteed, which explores a trio of columnists as they follow a recluse in his attempts to time travel.

In addition to the fourteen feature-length films, eight short films will be shown at the 2012 Sundance London. All will play together in one short film programme.

Said Robert Redford, president and founder of Sundance Insititure, of Sundance London:

“I welcome the opportunity to see how people in the UK experience these films. While they are American productions, they speak to universal experiences and global challenges. Sundance London also is the perfect opportunity to continue our long-time commitment to growing a broader international community around new voices and new perspectives.”

Individual tickets for all Sundance films go on sale 4 April for £11.50 each. For more information, and a schedule of the films, visit the Sundance London website.
