Take That are reportedly set to perform at a private party on New Year’s Eve.

It was originally rumoured that the group were to be paid millions to perform, however a spokesperson for the band has dispelled all rumours of this this morning.

The newly reunited group – Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald – have agreed to play a live set for record label executives at a secret location in the Caribbean on December 31. The band will be flown first class to Barbados on December 28 and are believed to be staying at the exclusive Sandy Lane hotel, which is frequented by stars including Simon Cowell.

Take That will spend a few days recovering from the trip and enjoying the idyllic setting before they perform a 90-minute show for an intimate audience believed to comprise 20 music bosses – including Simon – and their families.

“The lads have had arguably the best year in their 20-year history, and bosses wanted to celebrate with a truly memorable party. It’s all top secret,” a source told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.

“No one’s been told the precise venue yet – just that it will be beach-side, somewhere on the west coast. The boys are really looking forward to it and will use the evening to showcase some ideas for next year’s tour.

“They won’t just be standing up and crooning a few ballads. It’s going to be a huge production, no expense spared.”

Guests will be treated to Dom Pérignon champagne and an array of locally sourced canapés, before they sit down to a lavish three-course meal. Take That will appear on stage at around 10.30pm and play until midnight, when the group will lead the audience in singing Auld Lang Syne to welcome in 2011. Their performance will be followed by an impressive fireworks display worth £70,000.
