The BRITs Nominations

Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine and Pixie Lott lead the nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards. While JLS have received three nods, not bad going for the X Factor runner up. Lily and Florence Welch will go head-to-head in the British Female and British Album – for ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ and ‘Lungs‘ respectively – categories.
Lily is also in the running for British Single for ‘The Fear’, while Florence – last year’s Critics’ Choice Award winner – got the nod for Breakthrough Act, in which she will compete against Pixie. Pixie, 19, is also nominated for British Female, as well as British Single for ‘Mama Do’.
Comic Peter Kay will present the awards on February 16 at London’s Earls Court.
