The 2010 Grammys are upon us, and with the big event only four days away the countdown is on, check out who is planning to be there, who is getting honoured, and who didn’t get the nomination they were looking for.

We all know it’s been a big year for Taylor Swift, what with her Kanye debacle, collaborations with John Mayer and Boys Like Girls, and being called Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press.  However, it is Beyonce who’s taking home the award for most nominations with a total of ten, while Swift sits with a mere eight. It is no surprise however, that both of these talented ladies are nominated for both Record and Album of the Year. Other nominees for both categories include the Black Eyed Peas and Lady GaGa, while Kings of Leon rounds out the nominees for Record of the Year and Dave Matthews Band for Album of the Year.

Miss Swift is also set to present an award as well as perform her hit songs “Fifteen” and “Today Was a Fairytale” from the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day. She will share the stage with her fellow nominees Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga, while Pink will also showcase some of her recent hits. Miley Cyrus had her eyes on the performance stage as well, but when her ballad “The Climb” got pulled from the Best Song Written For a Motion Picture category because it wasn’t written specifically for The Hannah Montana Movie, she found out the only stage time she will be seeing is as a presenter. Another artist put out from her lack of nominations is Susan Boyle, who had hopes that her debut CD would make the cut. Maybe next year, SuBo.

Some, however, are getting recognition without a new album at all. As has been the trend over the past several months, substantial tribute will be paid to the late Michael Jackson. As far as we can tell, this will be a star-studded performance featuring the voice of Jackson himself, complete with 3-D movie. For those of you who feel you have paid enough tribute to the King of Pop, we guess this will be the time to turn the channel.

While music is obviously important at the Grammys, let’s not forget what really matters: fashion. Critiquing celebs’ red carpet wardrobe this year will be none other than American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert. While it is known that Lambert has quite a glamorous sense of style, many wonder how he will do judging others. “I love clothes, I love fashion,” he assures us. “I pay attention to that stuff. I’m a big fan of most of the people that will be there…I won’t be mean though. I’m not mean.” I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see this, and all of the other antics that are sure to occur Sunday night!
