Despite the blizzard and freezing weather, the Royal 3D Premiere for the latest instalment in the Chronicles of Narnia series, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, was held in Leicester Square last night (30.11.10).

Stars braved the cold weather and walked the snow-sprinkled red carpet with style as the series’ leading ladies, Georgie Henley and Anna Popplewell posed for the paps before the event. Liam Neeson, Simon Pegg, Ben Barnes and Skandar Keynes also graciously posed for photos in the snow.

Many familiar X-Factor faces also hit the red carpet last night for the premiere. Boy-band One Direction showed for the event looking daper in tailored suits and skinny ties. Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle, and Joe McElderry who sings on the soundtrack for the film, also attended the screening.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh even battled the arctic chill to shake hands with director, Michael Apted, and the actors after the film. Her Highness was all smiles in a shiny blue holiday dress; she even sported a pair of 3D glasses for the screening!

We totally adore the vintage-inspired lace gown Georgie wore during the premiere. She sure has grown up since the movies began back in 2005. Rumour has it she may be the next Emma Watson, but we’re not sold on this idea just yet.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader hits UK cinemas 9th December. Check out the trailer for the film below.
