 The Inglourious Basterds

The Inglourious Basterds

With more snow forecast for the weekend, we’re happy to stay indoors, grab a cuppa  and watch one of our favourite films. This week our top flicks are the fabulous  Inglourious Basterds and romcom The Proposal.

Quentin Taratino is back to his best with this brilliant war film and Brad Pitt is on top form as Lt Aldo Raine.  The film centres around two main story lines, first up Shosanna Dreyfus (Melanie Laurent) who is out for revenge after she witnessed the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz).  Then there’s “the basterds,” Brad Pitt’s group of American Jewish soldiers who carry out some pretty gruesome acts of retribution. Well worth a watch. Click here to buy it now

Didn’t get a good view of Ryan Reynolds’ body the first time you watched The Proposal? Well now you can press pause. Relive the whole story from the comfort of the couch. Sandra Bullock stars as a harsh hot-shot New York boss in danger of being deported back to Canada.

In a desperate attempt to maintain her job, she coerces her beautiful and hapless assistant (Reynolds) to marry her. Chaos ensues as the two try to convince everyone—and maybe even themselves—that their affections are true. Grab this romantic comedy for some quality couch time. Click here to buy it now
