Chocolate has long been considered an aphrodisiac as it is understood to increase the levels of serotonin in the body and luckily for us it tastes amazing. Naturally anyone cooking for a date on Valentine’s Day should have a pudding full of the stuff.

Here it is the best chocolate pudding I know.

Dark Chocolate pots

Serves 2

• 1 bar of the best quality dark chocolate, I used 100g Green and Blacks Organic 85% dark chocolate
• 125 ml double cream
• 1 small egg
• 1 teaspoon honey

1. Break up the chocolate bar and mix the chocolate with the cream and honey in a bowl. Heat gently in a microwave until the chocolate has melted. Give it 30 second blasts so it does not get too hot.
2. Leave the chocolate to cool for a few minutes then add the egg. Stir continuously until the mixture goes glossy and smooth in texture.
3. Pour the mixture into 2 glasses and set in the fridge for 4-6 hours.
4. Remove the chocolate pots from the fridge 20 minutes before serving.
