Chelsea Clinton

Chelsea Clinton

Oh, how I would love to be a fly on the wall at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding

When your dad used to run the United States and your mum is Secretary of State, your wedding was never going to be in the local village hall. But, spending 3 MILLION pounds for just one day is simply staggering.

I know that Chelsea Clinton is an only child and that every little girl dreams of being a princess, but this is simply obscene.

I don’t care if the Clinton’s have thousands, millions or billions. America (and the rest of the world) still haven’t come out of a recession. American’s were hit the most because of sub-prime mortgages and thousands of people lost everything.

This vulgarity is such a poor example to be setting, and really reeks of one rule for one and one for the rest.

Hilary Clinton in her role as Secretary of State prides herself on being a warm, ‘real’ person, who can reach out to the average American. Surely, she has a moral and professional responsibility here?

I’m not saying Chelsea shouldn’t have a luxurious, beautiful wedding and I do wish the couple every happiness but think it is an example of gross overspending.

Celebrities/people in the public eye can choose to have their nuptials as public or as private as they wish, so don’t believe all this tosh about their privacy being invaded.

The cake is reported to cost £7,000. £7,000 for a cake. It’s going to be demolished in an hour – there is no way that baking ingredients cost £7,000.

When guests need to visit the ladies and gents, forget the wedding that will be an experience in itself. The couple are expected to spend £10,000 hiring porcelain, portable toilets that play music, because of course no one can use the loo in silence!!

All I have left to say on this is Chelsea Clinton’s wedding planners must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Until next week dear readers xxx
