While Xavier Samuel’s role as Riley in Twilight Eclipse is earning buzz among fans of the series, he managed to land another supporting role in this autumn’s big hit, Anonymous. With a handsome face and playing in a role in a worldwide popular film series, Xavier no doubt got a short cut to win enough fans. But we don’t think Xavier would be just an overnight star. His improving acting skills and undeniable professional career made him a definite watch in the next following years.

An Australia native, Xavier was born in 1983 and grew up in Adelaide. He graduated from Rostrevor College in 2001 and took drama courses at Christian Brothers College. He also attended Flinders University Drama Centre in 2005. For his graduate thesis, he starred in a production of Hamlet as the tragic Danish Prince.

Xavier made his debut on the Australian television series McLeod’s Daughters in 2003. He went on to star in several Australian films including the drama Newcastle and the horror movie, Road Train. Regarding the gruelling schedules and demands that are inherent with lower budget films, Xavier says, “A second take was a luxury. It taught me to be prepared and focused from the beginning.”

In 2011, Xavier won the MTV Movie Awards for Best Fight and was nominated for MTV Movie Awards for Best Breakout Star with his role as Riley in Twilight Eclipse. But unfortunately, this rising hottie is currently off the market . Since 2010 he has been dating Miss Europe 2005 titleholder, Shermine Shahrivar, an Iranian-born model. But you can always hit the cinema and enjoy his upcoming performance in Anonymous.
