It’s one of London’s top fashion destinations and one our favourite fashion haunts, Carnaby. The eclectic shopping area has teamed up with the London College of Fashion to create a ‘pop up’ gallery showcasing work from some of London’s most talented and award winning fashion students and graduates.

Make some time to stop by and take a look at some of the fantastic photography and clothing; you’ll be left lusting after some of the footwear on display. We’re already fans of Sophie Cox, who won the prestigious Draper’s Award for ‘Footwear of the Year 2008.’ In her work “Killer Heels” she explores the world of hyper-feminine powerful femme fatales. Sophie’s work also encompasses men’s tailoring, which is highlighted in the shapes and lines of the shoe. Another footwear name to look out for is Kerry Luft this lady certainly takes her heels seriously, inspired by the curved lines and strong structural material from the Art Nouveau style, Kerry aims to change the perception of footwear by applying 21st Century technology. The fusion of old and new works really well together.

Hopefully we’ll be able to buy some of these creations some day as some of them are simple beautiful. The pop up Gallery is completely free and is open 7 days a week and will run until the 31st September 09. We’d definitely advise you stop by and check out some of London’s new emerging designers.
