The Chanel AW14 show at Paris Fashion Week was one colourful crowd pleaser. The coats were block primary colours, the tweed was technicolor, the footwear of choice was trainers, and the accessories? Why the accessories were candy darling. Remember the pastel coloured sweet necklaces and bracelets that you used to be able to pick up as part of a pick ‘n mix? Imagine them with with a little less sugar and a little more couture luxury. The models hit the runway sporting the sweetie styled accessories to the delighted gasps of the onlooking audience. When Chanel decides to play, things get fun. Some of the necklaces and bracelets were direct copies of the sweet shop staple, with the added jangle of a Chanel logo tag. Others used the sweet shapes and colours to add an AW14 uniqueness to an already popular Chanel design. A thick bangle shape that last season bore crystals and chains, this time round boasted the interlinked Cs of the Chanel logo made up of the pastel coloured sweet beads.
