Fashion hot spot Carnaby Street is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and the party begins on Friday. Highlighting its trendy history of thriving youth culture, especially its start in the ‘60s, this new exhibition will feature a 3D timeline, among other attractions. Items have been borrowed from the Soho museum, the V&A, and the Museum of London, while many of the vintage displays will be seen for the first time during the celebration.

There will also be a show of iconic photographer Philip Townsend, spotlighting Carnaby Street in the ‘60s. This birthday party is sure to be a cool mix of old and new, and we are sure you will find something unique at one of the area’s individually owned boutiques or cafes.
