Designers are raising the bar with advertising campaigns forget the simple snap shot it’s all about the movie. DKNY have enlisted the help of Christina Ricci for a new short-film.  The ‘Monster’ actress features in four different scenarios in the film, designed to show off the ways which the fashion house’s leather Eldridge bag can be used. The two minute short film is directed by 24-year-old Jake Summer, the son of Sting and Trudie Styler.

Commenting on the role, Christina said: “I have been a long term devotee of Donna Karan. This was the perfect opportunity for me to work with a wonderful new director, wear amazing pieces, be in New York, and make a cool film.”

Kelly Cutrone from People’s Revolution, who worked on the film with DKNY, said: “For years, I have been a big believer in the idea that designers need to create and control their own content so it can’t be stolen or looted at fashion shows.” The film was shot on location at New York’s Soho Grand Hotel.
