Harrods Publishing and renowned photographer Rankin have newly collaborated on Couture in the 21st Century.  The book looks at new couture designers such as Roland Mouret, Paul Smith, Erdem and Hannah Marshall and examines their use of skills and techniques which reflect the works of the original couturiers such as Paul Poiret, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Coco Chanel.

The book is written by Deborah Bee, the editor of Harrods Magazine, and is made up of interviews with fashion luminaries and fresh faces such as Erdem and Hannah Marshall.  The book features the first-ever personal essays on couture by today’s most praised contemporary designers such as Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta and Paul Smith.  Rankin lends his photography skills to snap new and original portraits of each of the interviewees.

Couture in the 21st Century reveals a fresh look at couture and is available at Harrods or Harrods online for £40.
