I often borrow clothes for red carpet events and press appearances. I get to see current and future clothes before they hit the shops so, as a result, I don’t shop much and if I do, it’s for off-duty daytime wardrobe.

Marni is my all-time favourite! Their accessories are quirky, original and effortlessly chic. Their fabrics are exquisite and each season there are some really beautiful pieces. Marni has a vintage feel – and although their clothes are comfortable, there’s always an edge of eccentricity and whimsical romance. I have a coat and jacket that I’ve had for years and years and every time I wear them girls break off from conversation and smile – they are divine clothes that make me happy!

Other than that I don’t really shop. Except if it’s vintage – then ‘One’ on Old Brompton Road is great. Also my local vintage treasure trove Howie and Bell on Chamberlayne Road NW6 is good for a rummage; go on a Thursday because they do their buying on a Wednesday!

Matches have a good on-line boutique and they source great pieces by established designers like McQueen, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney and Lanvin. But they also carry gorgeous pieces by some of my favourite more cutting edge designers like Preen, Nathan Jenden, Charles Anastase and Yeojin Bae

I recently treated myself to my shoes of the summer – sandals by Celine. I love Phoebe Philo and am thrilled by what she’s doing at Celine. Go girl! Also Net a Porter is a great ‘on-line’ service. It’s luxury to lazily scroll through Stella McCartney’s beautiful underwear and oops! did I just press ‘add to cart?’
