Karl Lagerfeld Stocking

With Christmas a little over a month away, the holiday season is well on its way. To get us into the season’s cheer some of our favorite designers have created limited edition stockings for Selfridges, each with their own twist on the classic holiday decor.

Karl Lagerfeld gives the classic Christmas stocking an upgrade, presenting us with a futuristic ski-esque bootie that screams space-age. Perfect for a modern monochromatic take on the holiday season, and priced at £200.

Maison Martin Margiela Stocking

Following the monochromatic trend, Maison Martin Margiela created a stocking that looks wear-ready, complete with a full sole and slight heel. Unlike Kaiser Karl’s futuristic black/white creation, the MMM stocking oozes a classic Christmas charm but with a chic and elegant edge. We’d love to see it hanging next to a white tree sparkling with silver and black dainty ornaments, but with a price of £980, we’ll just have to admire it in the store.

Moschino Cheap & Chic Stocking

For the travel lover and those of us who embrace the rich red traditionally attributed to the Christmas season, Moschino Cheap & Chic has created a perfect stocking. The stocking celebrates the holiday season with an Italian flair, decorated with a miniature Colosseum and leaning Tower of Pisa, reminding us of the warmer months ahead. The stocking is priced at £235.

Other brands involved in the festive initiative include Henry Holland, Highgrove and Barbour, each offering more affordable pieces at  £30, £60 and £75. The Henry Holland version showcases the brand’s signature houndstooth in a cobalt and navy combo with black detailing, and comes complete with a matching iPhone case. While Barbour offers a red quilted stocking similar to their classic coats, and Highgrove presents us with a traditional beauty in red velvet with gold embroidery and tassels.

The stockings are available in Selfridges stores and online at
