Emma Watson’s GQ Cover

Emma Watson is working overtime to rid herself of the sweet and naive Hermione character that set her on the path to acting fame. Long brunette locks cut into an elfin crop didn’t do much to shake her namesake.  Which is why during recent media frenzy surrounding her latest film, Sophia Coppola-directed Bling Ring, Watson has been flaunting her sexuality.

The latest issue of British GQ sees the Brit actress donning a cut-out dress not dissimilar to Julia Roberts’ infamous Pretty Woman get-up. Thigh high, cleavage-revealing, stomach-baring with a circular cut out around the tummy-button. And whilst it may well be a nod to her “superficial, materialistic, vain and amoral” character Nicki, the 22 year old actress is undoubtedly channelling a whole new provocative vibe. One which appears to be making its way into the mainstream – despite the catwalk’s new obsession with all things demure for SS13 – by way of a number of body-skimming cut-away dresses. . . look to ASOS, NastyGal .

That said, we just came across this little mite’s Toddlers and Tiaras miniature Pretty Woman pageant dress and we’re suddenly thinking this might be less of a trend and more of a fancy-dress costume-only option.
