Fashion at the 2012 GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Whilst it may technically have been all about the men, we couldn’t help but be drawn to the female presence at last night’s GQ Men of the Year awards ceremony, because whilst the men scrubbed up well, looking dapper in their suits, it was fashion designer Stella McCartney’s dresses that really stole the show.

Victoria Pendleton, Katherine Jenkins, Heather Kerzner

Team GB cyclist Victoria Pendleton, opera singer Katherine Jenkins and socialite Heather Kerzner all attended the lavish ceremony dressed in one of various incarnations of McCartney’s Brigitt dress, from the London Evening Collection. With signature flesh-coloured side panels that give a super-slimming illusion, the body-skimming dresses were styled to varying degrees. Kerzner went super-short and simple, opting for a mid-thigh cut and strappy gold sandals. Ever-the-performer, Jenkins plumped for the elaborate fishtail maxi version of the dress whilst Pendleton, (our favourite of the bunch) opted for a simple knee-length amped-up shift dress version of the Brigitte with a golden waist belt.

Lana Del Ray, Kelly Brook, Olivia Munn

Picking up the Woman of the Year award, singer-songwriter Lana Del Ray arrived looking angelic in a Wayne Cooper champagne dress with signature pillar box lips. Meanwhile, Kelly Brook (who brought new boyfriend Thom Evans) shone in a pale silver embellished shift dress and sultry actress Olivia Munn poured herself into a spaghetti-strapped Giorgio Armani dress and Jimmy Choo heels.
