The sister designed a flat for The Henson Building

Fashion and living are becoming increasingly closer together.  The fashion duo Felder Felder have just designed a loft for The Henson Building, where Jim Henson’s former Muppet Factory was located.

The sisters have designed the flat from top to bottom and have described it as “Punk meets Posh.”

The living room has a colour palette of distressed charcoals and features a studded metal wall.  The room centres around a couch which features one of the signature S/S10 fabrics and a metal coffee table.  The room also includes a Victorian fabric roll holder with a leather stud detail which has been transformed into a standing light.

The bedroom is more romantic and sensual.  It has a hanging light installation, embellished curtains, and an original mirror designed by Felder Felder.

There’s been a recent surge in fashion designers designing for the home—Karl Lagerfeld designed a safe earlier this year, Jean Paul Gaultier created a couch for Roche Bobois and Orla Kiely designed a car for Citroen.

Watch this space… who knows what the fash pack will come up with next?!
